First of all, I'm not sure if I've put this post in the right place.
Anyway, I've recently thought about the importance of keeping your eyes
closed to remember your dreams better. I have read it many times on the forum.

Unfortunately, what I usually do is open my eyes and only then try to remember what had happened in my dreams (it's just a habit very difficult to eradicate to me, sometimes I manage to wake up with my eyes closed and always get better result as for dream recall then). Sometimes it is merely a feeling that so many wierd, unusual and interesting things had happened during the night (in my dreams) but I'm not able to remember them beacuse of having my eyes open. So, if the fact of keeping your eyes close is important, I've made some conclusion. I think that I should make my subconscious 'aware' of the significance of the difference between having my eyes closed and having them open. The scientific fact is that after having your eyes closed and calming down you quickly achieve the so-called alpha state which is already an altered state of consciousness. And you can simply feel it: meditate for 10 minutes and then suddenly just open your eyes. You may even feel a headache becasue of a sudden transition.

Therefore I've got such an idea: each time I close my eyes or open them, I will say I short phrase or a single word in my mind. For example, when I close my eyes, I say 'astral', or 'spiritual', 'imagination' or whatever, and when I open them for example 'return to reality', or 'return to body'. In this way I supposedly would make it stuck in my subconscious that such things like OOBE, LD exist, that when I close my eyes I'm already somewhere else, in a way, in an altered state of consciousness. Hope you get what I mean.
Any thoughts about it? Is it a good idead or just bu**hit?
