hi! is it possible to have stable dream environments, that is if you turn your head to one side and then back and it stays more or less unchanged- is this possible/achievable? So far I only had this when I was dreaming that I was in my room. But what about random dream places?
In most of my dreams, the environments are stable unless I change something. I think if you pay really close attention to detail in the places you are in during the day, it could help with the dream locations. I'm always looking at every aspect of a room to see lighting and good angles, then I'm looking at the structure of a room and the colors. Im a video/architect major at school, so Im sure that helps :P
I noticed this as well. And yes for the most parts my dream scene will be the same for the duration of the dream. As in if I go to an area leave and go explore and then come back to this same place it will be the same as when I left it.Quote:

Most of the time, the scene is stable. The only times this doesn't happen are times when I am annoyed or feel out of control. I don't know what comes first--the frustration or the scene change. If it is a viscious cycle, changing perspective might help.
Some of my dream scenes are pretty stable, as long as I don't focus too much attention on one aspect of the landscape or surroundings. Then things can get pretty wild! But if I don't pay much attention to my surroundings they tend to stay the same. However, if my mood changes dramatically it can cause the enviornment to change too.
A lot of stability comes from the perspective you are looking at your world from when dreaming. I usually have the third person sight. If I have first person sight then my dreams are less stable than before. However, even in first person view dreams can be stable. So chin up, it is usually the luck of the draw. If you are just naturally closer to the end of your dream cycle then I imagine things will just naturally be more unstable. I have had many dreams where they are extremely stable, while I have had other dreams that it is not stable at all. Usually vision is the first to go, but you can still feel something like lets say the grass between your toes.
