Thread: Sports and video games?

Sports, no.

Video Games, yes, playing at virtual reality is so much fun.

I haven't done either yet, but I would love to put myself in my favorite video games.

I've done real life video games in a lucid before but not sitting down and holding a controler.

Never in a lucid, but I have dreams where I'll be playing a video game, then all the sudden the game becomes the entire dream. Can be pretty fun some times.

I'd like to try that. Play F.E.A.R., a personal favorite, in an RL perspective. Get to feel the gun and all.

I've played Guitar Hero in a low level lucid before. I was very good at it, but I failed anyway because the song was impossibly hard. I was about to play DDR in a higher level lucid once, but the dream faded.

Oh, yeah. I've only played real-life sports a couple of times (rugby, Calvinball), but I often am in situations that are similar to being the playable character in a platformer/maze/Legend of Zelda sort of fighting RP. I have only played games on a console when in a really, really long FA.

I once turned the world into an actiony ninja fighting game. With nuclear blasts, spiky blue hair, combos, and all!

I'm awesome at DDR. Still gotta hit Challenge though. I've played games before though (in dreams).

awesome idea, the idea of manning up and inducing a friggin Lucid Nightmare!!!!

I was just thinking about this and I have played sports too. Well if you count skateboarding as a sport. It basically is one. But I went skateboarding during a lucid I had a few months ago. It was the most control I've ever had in a lucid too so it was really cool.

It felt like regular skateboarding, but it was easier. I could do any basic trick that I can in real life (and even some I had basically forgotten) first try and really well. I think I only fell onc or twice.

The really strange part was that at first I didn't even have a skateboard at first. I was just floating on air experiencing the sensation of skateboarding. That was pretty amazing. But when I started trying to do tricks I noticed that I had a board under my feet after the first few.

has anyone every heard of or played assasins creedi got it 2 weeks ago, and started my dream journal 1 week ago (ie it triggerd a curiosity in l;ucid dreaming).
for those who have not heard of it:
it plays on the concept that we inherit memories of our ancestors that are locked away deep in the brain (like a bird inherits the knowledge/memory to migrate when it needs to). and this rich company creates a machine that forces a kind of lucid dream that makes the person re-live that memory, for the main character, it is a memory of his ancestor as an assisin during the medival ages.

i love playing it (partly because its a good game) but mainly it constantly reminds me of lucid dreaming, as the game is set in a lucid dream (kinda)
