It might, sine you won't have the option to read through your old entries during your waking hours, but aside from that it shouldn't.

That;s pretty bad that you lost it, I'd go crazy if I didn't have the option to read my crazy dreams

I would say it might affect your recall, particularly since it seems that you do reread through past entries. I wish we could help you find it, but this at least gives you the opportunity to keep at least one backup journal, copying entrie when you have time from your regular journal to an archive in a separate notebook or a computer.

I'm sorry for your loss, I hope you manage to find your original journal.

(PS: if nobody's suggested this repeatedly yet, you might like to try backtracking through the times and places you wrote in, reread, or carried your journal. That might be more helpful than just looking in the last place you remember.)

I'm sorry you lost your DJ! That would make me crazy! I hope you find it.

You may want to keep a DJ online, since then it will always be there.

If I were you, I would write down at least the gist of every dream I could remember from the old DJ before I forget any bits or all of them. That way if you don't find it, you'll still have the dreams and not risk losing them.

I think actually making a big deal about it while starting a new DJ may help your recall, you never know

I hope you didn't lose it in a public place. Imagine some stranger reading your personal dreams!

Yeah Shift is right. If you make a big deal out of it you will become more focused on your dreams and it can actually help you in the long run with your recall.

If you think you lost it around your house, don't stop looking for it. Losing your DJ must be a annoying experience.

I'm pretty sure I lost it in my house somewhere. The last time I took it somewhere was to this weird church camp I had to go (closet atheist in the Bible belt), but I remember having it the night I got home because I took it out of my bag.


Bleh, I've decided to clean my room tomorrow to find it, and I've written down the gist of some of my main dreams.

My recalls been pretty good also, I had a really vivid dream last night, I need to post these in my dream journal here, just haven't got around to it, and the papers are downstairs.

I hope you find it, losing mine would be hell because i've been noticing a dreamsign and haven't yet taken note of it.

I've never lost my journal, but I haven't updated it in months. I just got too lazy to jot down my dreams every time lol.

I have four dream journals, but I can't find the first one! There are only a few entries, but it's annoying because it has my first few lucid dreams!

I suggest making a dream journal online, with your most important entries. That way, you know it's safe.

I took the trash out and was looking for my krink marker I left in a trunk from some other camp I saw the corner of a composite notebook and thought to myself "no fucking way," so I grabbed it and screamed "MELVILLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Mom was like "Why were you screaming?"
"I found my dream journal"
"Is that the thing that helps you have those special dreams, lucid dreams?"
"YES IT IS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

I noticed alot of little things like:

You get or have goten Nintendo power at some point
You have a Charmander plushie
You probably play guitar
You have what looks like a simpsons poster
and have a tiger on the wall in your bathroom

Ha, I used to work with speed cubing, I have an orange DIY one in there also, you just can't see it.
It's actually just a very small television. Got it from an auction for $8.

That's actually not a bathroom, it's my playroom *Nods head in a manly manner* and that was a tiger rug that I had no room for so I nailed it to the wall.
