      Dream Recall Declining

I've been trying to use the WBTB and the WILD techniques and now my dreams fade so fast that it's ridiculous. The past two mornings I've been able to see my dreams right when I wake, but right when I move it all goes away.

I was wondering if this is because of trying these techniques, or if I my dream recall just happened to fade when I started trying to Lucid Dream. I have been waking up at 5:30 am and waiting for a few minutes before going back to sleep. I do not remember any dreams when I wake up the first time, either.
As I was going up the stair / I met a man who wasn't there. / He wasn't there again today / I wish, I wish he'd go away

Whenever you alter your sleep schedule, dream recall will shift in some way. It should clear up in less than a week. You remember them when you first wake, and that's a good sign! If moving makes you forget, don't move until you remember. When you wake up, stay still and think of three words that relate most to your dream. These words will work as anchors, and when you move to write your dream journal, remembering those words should bring back memory of the dream.

      Good luck!

      Thanks a lot.
Every time I start back into LDing my recall goes away. It's awfully irritating.

I know the feeling man, it gets pretty annoying when you cant remember a damn dream! I was going through that last week and I seriously thought something was wrong w/ me. But yeah Abra's right about altering your sleep schedule affects your recall so dont worry man, you'll get through it just like I did.

No recall at all for last night.
Not even right when I woke up.

On a couple of occasions recently I have woken up and not had any recollection of a dream. But, after keeping my mind fairly empty for 5 - 10 minutes they have come back. It really surprised me because I thought if I couldn't remember them on first waking they would be lost for good.

So, don't give up too quickly when you first wake up. Chill out for a while and don't think about the day ahead.

Also, I have been using the MILD method. Part of this is to set an intention to wake after you dream and to remember your dream. This has increase my dream recall too. Now I sometimes wake in the middle of the night and realise that I have woken because I've just come out of a dream. The dream is still fresh in my mind so it's easier to recall.
