On a couple of occasions recently I have woken up and not had any recollection of a dream. But, after keeping my mind fairly empty for 5 - 10 minutes they have come back. It really surprised me because I thought if I couldn't remember them on first waking they would be lost for good.

So, don't give up too quickly when you first wake up. Chill out for a while and don't think about the day ahead.

Also, I have been using the MILD method. Part of this is to set an intention to wake after you dream and to remember your dream. This has increase my dream recall too. Now I sometimes wake in the middle of the night and realise that I have woken because I've just come out of a dream. The dream is still fresh in my mind so it's easier to recall.

You also seem pretty convinced that you are not going to be able to have any recall. Your certainty about the problem can help fuel it.

If there is anything we can learn from practicing lucid dreaming it's that expectation is everything. If we expect to see something in a LD, we see it (sometimes ). But the same goes for this. If you expect that you won't remember, you won't.

Try taking it easy. -Know- that you can recall and that there is nothing wrong with you, and you will make it easier to remember. When I started trying to LD recently, I was working so hard at it I was having terrible dreams that were boring and of course non lucid. Once I stopped focusing so much waking energy on the matter, I had a lucid dream for the first time in years. If you are so uptight about the recall problem, try just relaxing and not worrying about it so consciously.

      Total LDs: 3

I recalled a little bit in my dream last night. Not much though. Just a ladies teeth.
As I was going up the stair / I met a man who wasn't there. / He wasn't there again today / I wish, I wish he'd go away

I finally recalled a good bit of one of my dreams. I'm thinking it was a quarter of one of the two dreams I had last night.

A good thing you can do is read through your Dream Journal more frequently during the day.

Unfortunately there's only one complete dream in it, and then a quarter of another.

Don't you write down everything you remember as SOON as you wake up? You should write down everything, even if it's just a simple feeling or color.
