ok this has been bugging me. and since i do sleep walk somenights. i want to know why its not safe to wake someone up that is sleep walking. everyone i talk to says not to walk the person up but to lead them to a safe place or to watch them. |

I'm only guessing, but I think the main reason is fright (which leads to possible danger). Upon waking, the sleepwalker could fall onto a sharp object, think you're a dream character and do what they like to you, think you're a robber and punch you in the face or a number of other things. |

I actually read that the idea of not waking up a sleep walker is a silly myth (almost like an urban legend or something) and that there is absolutely no harm in it...but don't quote me. |

well my mom says that all she does when i'm sleep walking is tell me to go back to my room and go to sleep. and she says i do it most of the time. other times i just lay down where i am. and go back to "sleep" there. |
