Well that sounds like SP to me. You might just be getting used to SP, which is why you dont feel like anybody/thing is watching you anymore. E.g. when I first started experiencing SP seven years ago when I was eleven, I always "felt" somebody/thing was watching me until I found out about SP and became used to it. Now, I dont ever feel like anybody/thing's watching me b/c I "know" that nobody/thing is watching me.
But of course, you will still experience the effects of SP no matter how used to it you are. Like when you said your breath sounded like an air conditioner, thats definitely just auditory hallucinations which is a common effect of SP. I dont know exactly what you mean when you said you felt like you suddenly fell into a pool of "liquidfied dread" but I can be pretty sure that this "sudden fall" you felt is the sensation of the end stages of SP, which means you were moments away from dreaming .
So whenever you experience those sensations when attempting a WILD that you've listed, just remember to take deep breaths, remain calm and let them happen. If you do, you will find yourself in a Lucid Dream!
