Thread: How good is Lucid dreaming?

depending on a few things (i.e when you have the dream....how tired you are etc) Lucid Dreaming can be as real if not MORE real than real life.

I like to think like this. Real life....is generated by your senses. Your eyes see. Your brain makes an image. You touch. You brain tells you what it feels like.

But with a lucid dream...you dont rely on the real world. Images can be clearer than your eyes can see. Sounds dont depend on your hearing.

There is no reason why Dreams should be anything less than'real.'

Worth learning only if the idea of visiting a world where you have a super powers is appealing to you!!!

Thanks for the quick answer! Then it seems they don't promise to much and maybe it will be worth learining it. What about when you remember a lucid dream, does it feel like a real memory???

To me, it usually still feel like a dream memory, though a vivid memory. WILDs might feel more like a real memory for me, at least some do.

It really varies, sometimes I'll have one thats really dull, and I'm very low conscious, and not sure of my surroundings, and everything is all a big blur, and just doesn't feel real at all. Others though are so real I could swear they were real life, and full of emotion, and I'm wide awake, and have super acute awareness of everything happening around me.

Its soooo worth learning. I haven't had many lucid dreams but once you get going its exciting, and something to look forward to when you go to sleep.

As far as recall and control of the dream, it really seems to vary depending on your experience, sometimes you just have lucids where you're very much in control, sometimes you have no control at all (seems very random sometimes).

Ex. When I started, I sucked at remembering and controlling the dream, now I'm a lot more in control and my memories seem to be more detailed then before.

I recommend a dream journal either online on this forum or on your computer, it will help you with remembering your dreams, and then you can read back and find out your dream signs (Helps with DILDs)

It is very realistic normally. But to be honest it isn't as great for me as it used to be...it just lost its fun for me. But it was fun when I first started so...I say do it.

A good lucid dream is the most amazing experience you can possibly imagine.

I guess it depends on the person. Some people claim they are not that vivid or realistic. But for me they go beyond real, and into hyper real.

It's definitely the most fun thing I could ever want to do.
