      shared dreams

ok i have heard of shared dreams but what are they?
lets say i am haveing a good LD and i find my friend lets say his name is bob. i am walking around in my ld and i see bob i run up to him and exlpalin that he is dreaming and that he must take control o and i tell him number 5. then he takes control does.
does this mean that my real un dreaming freind bob is now haveing an ld in my dream and we have some sort of phykic connection?
that if i woke up and called him i may be able to tell me that i told him the number 5.
is this posible or im i a geniass

Whoa, that's a pretty cool thought. I'm going to try it next time I see one of my friends in an LD. I'll be sure to tell you how it goes.

      Re: shared dreams

no offense but that was kinda hard to read.

Im not really sure how shared dreaming works and i've read articles and sites that kinda contradict the others. but i'll try to explain. A shared dream is where, obviously, you're sharing a dream with someone. There's a possibility that your friend "bob" is just a dream character is nothing more. There's no way for you to reach/contact bob in YOUR dream unless he has the ability to dream walk(enter others dreams) or got in by accident. Also i dont think he can take control of YOUR dream. Its not his dream to control. Its your turf, and you have the power not him. I THINK in order to have a lucid dream i THINK you have to meet somewhere on common ground somewhere...i think. Also it all depends on how you see how dreaming works. If you think that lucid dreaming takes place on some other plane(like the astral plane for example) then all you would have to do is meet at somewhere or you can "bump" into eachother.

hmmm...i dunno...i tried my best to explain...like i said..some sites dont really do a good job of explaining =/

I did this once, before I knew much about lucid dreaming. I was having an LD, and I saw a close friend in it. I told him something to the effect of "Hey, we're in a dream! Try to remember this when you wake up: the number 37, and a fish." I asked him about it the next day, and he said he doesn't remember dreaming anything like that. Not that this disproves shared dreams.. he may have just forgotten. He's not an LD'er himself.

Does this mean that if I see someone I know, and I do something "naughty" with her, she would know it? Thank god I didn't have a good lucid dream yet

Why is that people ask if shared dreams are real? They can never give you any proof. If they did have proof, you wouldn't be the first person to hear about it.
