Thread: Homicidal/Criminal Dreams

Two nights of bloodletting in a row, and I'm starting to wonder what's up. Usually, any time I kill anyone in a dream is due to a video game influence like Call of Duty and it's fun that way, but these are different.

The first one, I killed two guys in self-defense, one of whom I killed with his own gun. I felt immediate fear that I'd be heading off to prison and recall saying out loud in the dream, "Fuck, I do not want to exist right now".

The second one, I'd broken into someone's house and, since I didn't want to get caught (check this logic) I was going to have to kill them while they slept.

The overall feeling in both of these was fear for my life and a deep sense of regret.

I realize these are just dreams, but since I've never had dreams of this nature, I'm curious. Anyone else have/had these sorts of experiences?

I have had the same kind of dream (non-lucid), where I killed someone who is annoying to me in real life. It was a very depressing, afraid, regretful feeling and it stayed with me for a few days.

Yes, I've had a couple of very guilty dreams like this. I feel generally horrible afterwards.

Once had a dream I was beating someone up quite harshly, meh I guess they're just random.

I've had a few dreams like yours. The difference is that I feel no regret; I'm in a world with no consequences, and I know (for the most part) that it is not real, therefore I'm don't feel any remorse. However, one dream in particular was frighteningly realistic, and I was really into it, and I killed someone and did feel horrible. But overall, knowing that I'm in control, I dont feel regret.
