      Lightbulb LD Meditation

It has been a few months since I have tried for a lucid dream. I was getting too obsessed and needed a break. I am back fully refreshed and ready to start mastering my dreams again. However, I am wanting to try some new things in my LDs. One of these things is trying to meditate while in an LD. I have experience with meditation in the real world but was wondering what it would be like in a dream. Is it possible? Has anyone tried this? What are some of the effects?

I've never tried it but it sounds interesting.

What do you hope to achieve by medatiating in a LD?

I have heard of it before but have no clue where. Maybe in a book. It is definately possible but I can't remember what it said. Maybe something about finding guidance and solutions. I think it said it was even better than wake meditation.

I think i read about this, a long time ago on this board. Some kind of professor or something like that, claimed that it was many times more effective than wake meditation (i actually remember it as a 1000 times ... although i doubt that). But i am not really sure about anyhing.

In EWOLD, it is adviced, to wake from a LD, by trying to go to sleep in the dream. Then, would'nt mediation wake you up too?

I have allways thought about the possibility of this too...

I assume that if while dreaming you are more in tune to your sub-conscious then unlocking chakras would be easier and more potent. That is of course if you can stay awake. If anyone tries this then please share your experience here.

Well yes i tried it and the dream went like this. Im riding in a car with my friends steve and brian i have no idea where we are going but im in the back seat and steve is driving i hear a rumble and looking behined me i see a rocket coming out of the ground behined some trees in the distance it shoots into the sky then disappears i instantly become lucid and i hear steve say "man this must be a dream" i say " im dreaming" twice and rub my hands together for a good start. I ask steve where we were going but he didnt anwser me so i decided to go with the flow we ended up at a one story blue painted house fighting with myself whether to find a girl or go on a adventure my sexual side takes over sadly for i am only a man. I walk into the house and i see a good looking girl from school but it hits me that i need to stoping having sex and do something better with my time and suddenly the idea of meditation hits me so i sit in the lotus position quite my mind for a moment and then repeat the mantra aum in a smooth rythm the effects on the mind is the normal calming affect but the room changed drasticly the only way to explain it was the room was vibrating very slowly it was a very strange feeling it was freaking me out so i floated out the top of the house and flew around a farmy landscape untill i opened my eyes laying in bed with a feeling of great exitment like i just got dont riding a roler coster.

I had a ld last night and was flying and suddenly thought of the whole meditating while lucid thing and briefly shut my eyes and lost everything to blackness. Not to worry though a few seconds later I picked back up where I was. Flying is so fun btw.

While is it illogical to meditate in a ld?

I'm pretty sure we know what meditating is and it is completely possible to do so while in a dream.

Sorry roguext22, but you do need to explain yourself a little better,

First of all why is it illogical? and why would flying in a dream be more logical? I would seem to find that more illogical,

Also , yes I think quite a few of us are aware of what meditation is, considering many of us practice in it every day,

And yes personally I myself am very intrigued by the thought of meditating in a lucid dream, because already being deep in your subconciousness, imagine how much deeper you could go through meditation and the things you could possibly discover about yourself

Anyways, to each their own, whatever might not work for you, might just work for those who are more open minded to it

      Anyways, just my view.
