Umm no. In lucid dreams you are usually aware of lots of things. Dreams are generally viewed (a wise man told me this) as being closely linked to things in your life and your subconscious so it makes sense to use dreams to understand more things about yourself.

you have to admit, in reality it is most easy to be aware of most things...
in lucid dreams its not so easy..being drunk is more hard to be aware even of your actions... in simple dreams you cant make your decisions..

What holds us back though in the waking hours, is we are more in a Regular Conciousness state of mind, and much of the time our underlying subconciousness is hidden from us.

Now when we enter a dream, we experience a rising of the subconciousness, and when we lose much of our conciousness you would experience what I guess you could call a non-lucid dream, You are pretty much believing everything that is going on, and really dont get to excercise much control over your dream,

Now when we enter a lucid dream, you have more of a balanced state of conciousness and subconciousness, So personally I think there is much awareness to be gained from this. Because you are conciously more aware of your subconciousness and able to make the most out of it

Heck, I am going off on a tangent here, but I will give a little analogy,

Waking hours are like floating on top of the ocean, Your aware of all that is on the surface but really cant see far into the deep below, when you are dreaming you are deep under the water, Smothered by the darkness of the deep below, now, when you are lucid dreaming, you are in the deep but with a flashlight , so you have the ability to discover more about your subconciousness.....

Anyways, being drunk can't really be compared to lucid dreaming, sorry... Considering that the drunken state is chemically induced and puts toxins into your brain, and Lucid dreaming is a holistic way to discover deeper parts of your self...

Anyways, hope I made some sense

In "reality" you are less aware of things. People just buzz around completely unaware of their actions and surroundings. If you have ever seen the movie "shaun of the dead" the scene where the main character goes about his normal day even though everyone is a flesh eating zombie is not only hilarious it is parallel to the truth. In dreams you are so much more aware of your surroundings because you are actively creating them, and how can you possibly compare it to being drunk. Thats a depressant. That means it is actually blocking nerves from being able to fire.

In non lucid dreams you may not be making your own decisions but the dreams are atleast spawned from your subconscious

      To address the first statement

#1. If people take offense of what you say to them, than its an insult, I personally dont like being called a noob, and by the word noob, you mean a "newbie" or of lower knowledge, yes? Well how is it you think that we are noobs? Sure, I am new to this forum, but I have studied and read about dreams for years, so there are probably some things I can teach you about..

#2. We didn't say at all that we are trying to show you think you are better than us, its just that you need to watch some of the statements you make, or have something to back them up with.. Lol.. and the word hate...

      All you need is love,

Anyways, to wrap this up, in life we are all students until the day we die, but we all have something that we can teach eachother too

So lets not be at war with eachother here.
