As in... not being in REM?

I'm not sure. When you WILD, you go directly into a dream, so that would be directly into REM. And WILDing is pretty much tricking your brain into thinking your body is asleep.

So my assumption with barely any backing and no scientific proof behind it is that you go into REM right after your brain recognizes that you are sleeping. But WILDing can take hours sometimes.

I don't know. When I think about it theres too many ifs and buts.
