"With time may you notice mild vibrations and that your body becomes paralyzed. At that point will you notice that you no longer have any problem concentrating, everything becomes clear. "
I really need someone experienced to tell what the hell this is...and why it scares the crap out of me. Ever since i was a kid...by concentrating on running down a hallway and slamming a door...by repeating this action and concentrating on the sound of the slamming door behind me...i am able to enter a paralyzed state of being... it's like my body is asleep...and i can't move...but my eyes are open and i am fully awake. This totally scares the crap out of me...and sometimes upon repeating the action purposely...i cannot stop it from happening when trying to fall into actual sleep. I can tell when it is going to happen as i get a certain "anxious" feeling in my chest...before falling into this state...and when it happens there is almost a painful sensation in my head at the exact moment of transition....like a "snap". Once when it happened...all i could see was green...and i somehow realized that i was laying on my living room floor face down on the green carpet...but again...i was afraid and i couldn't move...but i was fully concious and aware.... can someone please tell me what this is...why it hurts...and possibly if there is any positive consequence to forcing this to happen. It is literally like my body is fully paralyzed...i can't move...but i can see my room...and it's as if i am awake but something is really scarey...like an imposed vulnerablilty or something...i can make this happen easily....but i'm afraid to, because of the sense of helplessness in this state...and the snap in my brain when it happens....What is this? I am very interested in lucid dreaming as i've had a few...and i want to learn to control my dreams at will...but i need to resolve this...and in fact...i don't believe this has anything to do with dreaming at all...but is something very different.
Thank you
