      Dry Season

Despite my subliminal program I wrote (and no its not subliminal. drop it!), I'm having trouble LD'ing lately.

I dream, but remember at best one dream a night. I go to bed being very determined and confident that I'll have an LD, but I stay 'stupid' through all the dreams.
Usually I'm much better at it than this...

There could be multiple reasons for it, but was wondering what you guys think is the biggest possible reason:

      1) Its a cold, dry, dark winter. I wake up feeling tired. Lie in the bath and fall back into REM. I almost feel as if my delta sleep might be longer in the winter perhaps.

      2) Lots of work stress. The company is going through a massive change, and contracts are being rewritten.

      3) I stopped my dream journal.

      4) There's no ventilation in the room in winter.. cos.. well, I'm not leaving that bloody window open.

      Thoughts?

Your biggest problem is you stopped your dream journal, that will kill your recall. Next is the stress, people always say stress stops you from having lucid dreams. Third if you have problems getting a good night sleep because its to cold your going to have more problems, same goes with your last comment.

I would say start your dream journal again. Chances are you will remeber a lot more dreams. Just that should fix your problem. I would suggest doing that.

If you feel you can remeber dreams without it though, getting more comfortable and relaxing before you go to sleep should also help.

Dude, the stress is going to kill your dreams, and so is the absensce of a dream journal.

Also, get used to the wife.

I have been extreemely busy the last 2 months, because i am moving across the globe in 14 days, and i have not had 1 LD in over 2 months.
      I know your pain.

At least its not just me then

About my wife, I just meant that she's very distracting when going to sleep. Sometimes at 3AM too... but then I usually try to take advantage of WB2B

In the meantime, I can start up my dream journal again... and take chill pills
The stress is a bit of an issue...

You will get it back, stress is a killer! I am down to an average of one LD a week now. Extreme stress on several fronts and LOTS, I mean a HUGE amount of overtime at work.

When I feel like driving up into the mountains and just sitting, I know it is beginning to get to me. I am having those feelings again, just drive up into the mountains, find a tree to lean against, and sit there for three or four days.

      Foursome!

Oh and the chill pills thing, THEY KILL YOUR DREAMS MORE THAN STRESS! I know I'm just a kid, but last year I had a nervous breakdown and became a manic depressant, they put me on chill pills and for the time I was on them, I had no dreams.

Oh my god, can you work out the puzzle?
