Even my subconcious wants to be Lucid!!!

Still haven't had a lucid dream. But I am getting good at the dream recall thing. I remembered 3 dreams last night, really wierd ones. But in one of them, i was in this car that was driving down this cliff and I was scared stiff. I turned to Neo (yes, from the matrix) and said, "If I was Lucid Dreaming this would be really fun!"
Seriously, when will I get the chance??

Yeah, it sounds wonderful. I can never seem to get into the LD part though. I figure that WILD'ing will be the easiest technique for me, becuase I can naturally get into SP, last night I did hear two sounds through hallucination, but I can never stay concentrated on my counting long enough to fall asleep. Also whenever I get really close and start slipping I cant breath anymore, its freaky. But I haven't given up yet.

A very good technique to try would be WBTB - I almost LD at will doing this. If you need some pointers let me know

Suer. How about your technique for keeping your concentration? I always have trouble with it.

Well it is fairly easy. In short you wake up 5 hours after going to sleep. Stay awake for about 5 minutes then go back to sleep, you should be tired enough to fall back to sleep, and awake enough to do it with lucid dreaming on mind.

      Link is in my sig

Kay. I have tried that a few times, but I usually end up falling asleep. Or, not being able to sleep at all. Too excited. Ill just need to find that balance. Is it ok if I try to LD right when I go to bed. Then if I fail go to sleep and try 5 hours later? or is it bad to try twice in one night??

Not at all. I mean I normally go to bed with the intention of lucid dreaming, but know when I set my alarm then my WBTB will work and I will be lucid anyway so don't pressure myself.

Yeah. Ive been trying to learn as much as I can about it, but for some stupid reason my brain won't let me get there. I know eventually I will somehow find myself in that awesome state but that day could be years from now. I hope not!!

Never, have a read of my technique and see if it sounds like something you could try. If you need any help or pointers let me know

Works on demand for me, so don't see why it wouldn't for you after some tweeking.

You're just like me. A lot of times though, in my dreams, I'll be like "Hey! This'd be radical if I was LDing", and then I'll be like "Ooh shit. Haha". Last night I was playing guitar hero in my dream, and I was like "Man, guitar hero's getting really boring...It's a good thing I'm dreaming though", and then it clicked in. I usually find if I spend little time on this site befre I go to bed, then I'm more likley to get close to LDing too. Another thing I've done is put pictures I drew of kitties all over the house to remind me to RC whenever I see them. Another thing is too, it's a lot easier to have a LD a little while after waking up from REM. I woke up for a couple of hours, and went back to sleep at one, and then had a sweet LD, and then woke up at 2, so I'm pretty sure you enter the REM stage really fast that way, which'd make it a peak time to try WILDing.

Here's my 2 cents (again, I've only had one so far, so I'm a complete noob; I just want to try to contribute):

Your Screen Name seems too fatalistic. Is it possible to change it, be more confident? That probably sounds insulting, but I don't mean it to be. Not even sure it's indicative of a lack of confidence, but when I read it I think "*sigh,* it [I]would[I] be nice . . ."

And I feel like when I'm the most focused on Lucid Dreaming is when I have the worst recall and the least interesting dreams. Last night, for instance, I was so sure I would LD, but I had 3 crap dreams instead. The only time I had a LD was when I let myself sleep as normal. Maybe try a few nights not trying too hard.

then again, I could be full of crap.

      Oh, and Good Luck!
