      Dream Settings

My dreams, occasionally, seem to take place in the same setting as a previous dream. I'm betting this happens to you, too. What do you think that symbolizes, if anything? What is your mind trying to tell you by feeding you two dreams in one spot?

well...I'm not sure. is it a place you've been before or visit frequently? or do you not recognize the place at all? does the same hting happen or is it just the same setting? if you've been there before perhaps there is somehting that happened in that place or somehting about the place that for some reason your subconscious mind is hanging onto... [more info would really help.]

yeah, are you talking back-to-back? same night? or just same setting, different nights?

i have reoccuring enviroments all the time. i have a mall, an island, a city... several others. if any of them hit twice in the same night i usually become lucid. maybe it's your mind trying to help ya out? but yes, more info on the enviroments would help us to determine what it could mean.

Well you can have like 150 different dreams in a month, nothing wrong with revisiting a place a few times.

Well, one setting that I find myself in commonly, though never more than once a night, starts in a forrest. There is one tree that has an elevator shaft that takes you underground into a garden, then throught a hallway where lots of art about weather is hanging. Then the stairway leads out into a courtyard where it's currently dusk and theres a consession stand that sells your typical foods, and in front of it is a flower bed with tons of money and spare change.

I used to dream about that setting a lot, but the dreams were never the same. Then I forgot about it for years, and suddenly just a few weeks ago I had another dream in that same place-- a lucid dream, I might add.

I've been at my house in tons of diffrent dreams.... but I'd assume thats pretty normal.

As for a being in a place my mind just made up, There's this swamp that has a broken down wooden bride made out of planks, and the water if filled with corpses and I always get the feeling there's monsters in the water.

I've been to there two times that I can remember.

what you said pubbles, reminds me of myst... and the forest level... also barbizzle's avatar

I have had a re-occuring dreamscape... it was this house, that had a huge underground dungeon, i think i have seen it, like, 3 times 2 of those were re-occuring dreams, and the other one was like a continuation

The made-up places all seem very distinct; strange, also. I wonder what the pattern is. It'd be cool to find out exactly!

Dracco's setting reminds me of the Lord of the Rings movie.

      P.S. I've never played Myst.
