Thread: All dream characters?

I have no idea, but sometimes I meet people in my dreams who I feel such a strong connection with. I feel like Ive known them forever. Its really weird but ehh I dunno...

I know what you mean. It's probably apart of your brain/personality which would explain why you feel so close to that person.

Most of this is kinda of one sided, I'm breaking that.
I believe that minds can connect.. This belief opens up any different theorems like empathy, finishing another's sentence, someone saying an answer to a question the exact way you would have if you were asked first; on a larger scale, dream walkers, dream guides, religious figures, Psionic abilities, Chi excercises, etc. The list can go on and on... But note, whenever a connection is made.. it will never go unnoticed. There is always a sort of feel carried with it. Its unexplainable if you havent felt it, but when you experence an outside source in your mind will know for a guarantee that it was an outside force/person.
Though, thinking on the subject alone records it in the subconcious, in turn, dreams of such can be induced. But in the back of your mind you'll know the difference despite what you tell ppl.
People's belief are too diverse to generalize what is what. If you think on it long enough you'll find your own answer.

Hmmm, thats a different way to look at it..sometimes I do feel they're more than just dc's....

I think that it is important to go with one's intuition - it seems as though we are taught from a young age to distrust the one thing that defines who we are.. I have had dreams as well where events have transpired afterward that were just too... I don't know.... to be coincidence

The study and manipulation of dreams is such an ethereal pursuit as it is, we may as well all embrace the mystery of it

Ive always wanted to except my intuition, but people always end up telling me Im being paronoid....so Im very double-minded...but I still know when somethings more than just what it seems..

I've had the same experience - people so real and yet unknown at the same time. Then later, I meet people who remind me of the DCs and it makes me wonder, though I am sure that I am probably trying to squeeze the real person into the mold of the dream character that they remind me of.

I think Dream Characters are part of your mind, but that doesn't mean they're not real. If you think about something, that thought is real. The thought exists, just not outside your head. If you're trying to say that Dream Characters are real people that actually exist in this world and meet you in your dreams... then no I dont think that's true, but if you mean people in that exist in your head then sure, why not. they're dream characters all the same

Im not saying anything by posting this link, but it gives us something else to think about when we ask "Are DCs real?" Read the FULL page before judging it. If you have visited this page before, by all means, post what you think about it.
