I've been focusing on LD's for about a week and a half now, and have gotten close to successful WILD's only twice. But it seems like my body will do anything to keep me from achieving a WILD.
I sleep on my stomach with my head faced to the side. So I get in bed, find a good spot and settle in preparing to spend the next 20mins to an hour completely motionless trying various WILD methods I've come across on these forums. But the second I become relaxed I can feel the saliva build up in my mouth and slowly find its way to the corner of my slightly opened mouth, and given a minute it begins to leak out onto my cheek. This is incredibly uncomfortable and since WILDing is already incredible difficult, this makes it impossible.
I then tried rolling onto my back, since I've read that lying on the back is an ideal position for sleep paralysis anyway I figured this would do it. But no, now the saliva just runs to the back of my throat triggering the swallowing reflex, making it equally impossible to successfully WILD.
any advice?
