Ok, I have a theory. Its a theory about what happens in LD, and why it happens. Heres some examples. |

Yeah, that's the placebo effect. Sugar pill and whatnot. |

That's the whole idea behind "lucid pills". Where you tell yourself that the green pill gives you flying abilities, the red teleport abilities, etc. |
|
Yeah, im sorry. I realised alot of you wrote something up like this. |
|
It's not a problem, it's not like we expect you to look through every thread or anything. I was just saying its the same idea as lucid pills |

Don't sweat it bud. This place is here to learn, and learn you have. =) |

Actualy your first observation is very interesting. You point out that DC's can in a sense read your mind, and react to what you think, and not what you say. I never thought about it like that. I will try to consider it next time I try to make a hit on a DC, if I'm not honest, then the DC may reject me |

Well yeah, I think the whole expierence is based in your head. Maby cause your concious can only read things in your head. Like if you see the,"I will die". If you just read it nothing will happen, if you read it and mean it, you will die. Something across the lines like that. |

I found is that degrees of expecting something to happen affects if it really happens. I had dream where I really really really expected something to happen I was imaging it and waiting for it, but it didn't happen. Then I had dreams where the idea of something happen was just on my mind for a second and it happened, to me at least a tiny brief thought, usually has more power than really wanting something to happen. I think this depends on what the dreamer is in real life. There's these things called self-fulfilling prophecies and self-defeating prophecies, for me I have more self-defeating prophecies than self-fulfilling. Most of y’all might have heard of reverse psychology, which is another word for self-defeating prophecy. Like a person who has more self-defeating prophecies than self-fulfilling, when a person tells them a test is very hard they would think that person must just be stupid. A person who has more self-fulfilling prophecies than self-defeating, when a person tells them a test is very hard they would start to get nervous. So a self-fulfilling person would benefit by using the "FLY FLY FLY!" idea of dream control while the self-defeating person is screwed. |
