Do you LD only in summer?

School is coming up for me, so that means I won't be getting as much sleep, so my LD's will probably become more rare. I guess I could still try during the weekend, but it would seem that only attempting LD 2 days a week wouldn't be enough of a commitment to have good LDs. I was wondering if any of you stop trying during the work-part of the year. Also, I was wondering if any of you can still have good lucid dreams only using your weekends.

I'm not gonna be messing around with WBTB and WILD and things that take a long time during the weeknights (and eat up my sleeping hours)...but I'll definitely keep trying for the DILDs, and work on my reality checking habits every day

My recall shoots up in the summer because I have more time for my journal, but no, I tend to LD all the time. I WILD better in the winter.

I LD all year, but during school my schedule is so awkward and I am only asleep for like 4-5 hours so that doesn't leave a lot of dream, yet I still have a Lot LD's

you dont lose THAT much sleep do you? i mean, you still get your REM stages in so why wouldn't you be able to lucid dream. school is only 6 hours out of 24, i'm sure you could find time.

I suppose at the end of the day it depends how early people are willing to go to bed at night, i'll probably go to bed earlier when i start college in a few weeks, i value my sleep so much, its my escape from reality

I see one of my problems in not getting an LD at all in the warm temperatures here. I can't relax good enough in summer.

I like the winter more in general. You can protect yourself against coldness nicely, but not against the heaty-shit.

i just started trying on june 6th. i got my first one (and 4 others) in a span of 8 days. they came in the june 20ths. i now have had about 10 or 11. i am very pleased with my success. i do notice a pattern. almost every one of mine, if not, every one of mine, comes with a WBTB nap. it can just be waking up and going back to bed 5 minutes later. it isnt intentional, i just can wake up in the early morning and go back to bed. and yes, when school comes back, i myself will probably not have as much lucid dreams. My dream recall will probably decrease, too.

When I used to be in school, I still had plenty of dream recall (I can't speak for lucid dreams since that was long before I really got into them; I only had them very rarely at that time); it seemed to be about the same regardless of time of year, though. But then again, I don't think I let school significantly reduce my amount of sleep or affect my sleep patterns.
