Blind to the fact that we are dreaming

I was talking to a friend of mine, actually a very well educated friend of mine. He is a counselor and one day while I was discussing dreams with him he told me that he had read somewhere that we dream 24/7. He told me that dreaming is like looking at the stars, they are always in the sky but we can only USUALLY see them at night. He said that we are continuously dreaming all the time but we only remember it when we are sleeping. I guess it possible.

      Has anyone heard this before?

doesn't seem new to me...but it is truely an interesting thought.

I saw a book on amazon that was entitled something like, "How to dream 24 hours a day" or something like that.

That is a really interesting and cool idea, like Paperdoll and dougdrums mentioned.

Our subconcious thoughts may be working into dreams while we are awake, but because are consious mind is functioning we shut out our subconcious dreams from our concious minds.

When we dream our concious mind shuts down, therefore we are able to see and remember our subconsious dreams if we try.

I may be wrong with this info, please correct me if I am!

Well, we didn't talk about it too much but he said he read it in a couple books and has verified it with one of his friends. Next time I talk to him ill ask him more. Isn’t that interesting though, it like there is a shade pulled over our eyes while we are conscious.

      Yo, maybe this will help.

I once read this book called "Dreaming While Awake:Techniques for 24 Hour Lucid Dreaming." I'm hoping some people know about it. It's totally parallel with the purpose of this thread.

It involves training to be aware and notice the "sentient" world that precedes this physical reality. Basically, becoming more and more aware of the dream world that created this tangible world. It's not even exclusive about induction techniques. This is very much more holistic. It's also not such a step by step material as much as it is descriptive.
naturals are what we call people who did all the right things accidentally
