So it was only my second fully lucid dream, last night, but something very strange happened and I was wondering if it's a common thing. So I was having a lucid dreams and I became so amused with the dream I began to laugh very hard, then I seemed to flash backward through a dark tunnel and awoke with the exact same feeling of amusment and fully aware of what happened. My only guess as to what happened was, being a newbie, I got to ahead of myself and awoke (something that happened often in my early stages). But I feel as though I was fully aware as my consiousness shifted from the dream reality to the waking reality, hence the dark tunnel I was dragged back through. Is there any precedence for this sort of thing or any other possible explination?
