Ok, I've noticed in a lot of people's dream experiences is that dream characters often take a negative stance towards lucid dreaming. Take a look at this thread: http://www.dreamviews.com/forum/viewtopic....p?p=57966#57966 . Here's a quote:

I've seen this kind of response in most threads where the question is posed to a dream character. Any ideas on why this happens?
My own thoughts on it are:
- You're subconcious doesn't like the intrusion
- You're subconcious thinks it's dangerous
- Lucid dreaming is such an abstract concept, and part of you might think
that abstract = inherintly bad
- You understand that most people think that lucid dreaming is "witch craft", or evil/bad, and you're subconcious is trying to create accurate portrayals of external beings to help keep you immersed in the dream world.
