Thread: Experiencing God

hey guys im pretty new to lucid dreaming in general (only had a couple) but i was wondering... have any of you guys tried to find god in a lucid dream.... what happened? just curious cause im planning on trying next time i go lucid... thx

I think when you do that, you will find what your subconscious expects to see, as that's what much of dreams are built on-the subconsious. Maybe he will speak to you through that experience though. I might give that a try myself.

Being completely agnostic, I find this topic very interesting. I hadn't thought of it in the past -- thanks for making this thread, as it's something I as well will now try.

yea thats kinda what i was thinking would happen... any hints on ways to find him in my dreams or anyone for that manner?

yea im not exactly the most religious person ever.. i think that is why it intrigues me so much... cause i dont neccessarily have a conventional view on god

I've tried something like this before. The results were pretty weird. In a LD I tried to make Jesus appear, but he wouldn't. I tried making other people appear, just my friends and a girl and stuff, and this did work. I tried for Jesus again, and oddly it just wouldn't work. This topic makes me want to try again, and for God as well this time.

I met God in a dream, though I wasn't lucid.

We had sex.

And he was good.

And now I'm going to hell for sure.

Um, well, to go into more detail, it was more like he looked at me and said "Yeah, you're just gonna have multiple orgasms now." And I did.
And, no, he wasn't the old, white-bearded guy. He was a youngish, attractive, slightly nerdy looking guy.

What a rad dream, I'd almost forgotten about it til this thread.

I had an interesting experience with meeting god in a lucid dream. The most interesting thing about it was that I wasn't trying to find god.

I'm new here, but I have this dream written down somewhere so I'll copy it on to this site as soon as I find the most appropriate place for it (dream journal?) but basically I had been trying to form a physical representation of my subconscious mind in order to have a conversation with it for a little while. Finally I had a LD in which I was determined to find this person that would represent the parts of my mind that my consciousness doesn't have control over. I went outside at night. I had it in my head that if I made the sun rise (something I'd done many times before) this person would be there in the day light. Instead I started floating up in to the sky uncontrollably. It was actually a little frightening because I was completely lucid still but had lost all control. I rose up through the clouds and could see the stars and then started spinning uncontrollably. At that point a man appeared out of the stars as if he was walking through a mist and suddenly I was in an apartment. This man was who I was looking for (my subconscious) but when I asked who he was he said, "I'm god".
