Lucid Dreaming Overrated?

Yes or No. And motivate. Personally I think it is a little overrated, although I haven't experienced any supervivid lucid yet...
Currently practicing WILD. I quote Kaniaz who said it best: "The point of WILD is to piss me off". Though, I have not given up, far from it.

I don't think its overrated... I think its awesome... I just WILDed this morning, and I had an awesome experience, so as far as I'm concerned, lucid dreaming is everything I hoped it to be. I don't expect dreams to be ultra vivid, I just want to be able to control them and do things I want to do. If I do get an ultra vivid one, then so much the better. I guess it all depends on one's expectations of what they want out of lucid dreams. For me, I think its awesome...

No. That's my short answer.

Ok, time for a little explanation. I don't find lucid dreaming overrated. Everytime so far that I become lucid, I have one of the greatest feelings ever. I can't really be bothered talking about this feeling through writing at the moment, I am pretty sure you all know what I am talking about anyway.

I remember the first night I looked up Lucid dreaming, not even knowing what a dream really was. One of the lines on the website I read was
"Many people (*that bother to learn about dreaming and such*) have their best time of their life in their lucid dreams.

So yeah, it's not overrated

Not at all. I don't have any preconceptions about what lucid dreams should or shouldn't be, so they can't really be a disappointment. Then again, I never went seeking lucid dreams, they found me. Either way, I don't see how they could be overrated since it's the only conscious activity you can partake in while you're sleeping -- it's that or nothing.

How can LDing be overrated?
If someone asks about it, we say everything is possible in a dream. And I don't see how that's wrong. Ok, certain things might not be possible, although I don't have an idea of what those things are, as long as you can imagine it I guess.

I hope it's not overrated. Otherwise I would be wasting my time trying to.

It sounds like some people don't have very good Lucid Dreams.
But, I can honestly say that every one of mine have been quite awsome.
Some to awsome to put into words.
And I don´t think that it depends on the individual, because if doing right you can experience anything you can imagine, the problem is that many people don´t achieve complete lucidity so they think that LDs are something less intense.

But believe me, if you do it right there´s no way yo can say LDs are over rated
