Hey,

Ive read a couple times where some of you guys can just realize its a dream by the "feel". I personally try to be constant at RC's but when im in school i totally forget to.

Well anyways, what are some steps i can do to become proficient at noticing this dream like state? Help is greatly appreciated! <3 lol

btw ^ that was supposed to be purple, my color, gay its pink ! -EDIT

I think the "feeling" that you're dreaming comes mostly from experience. A lot of times, when I do an RC, I already have a pretty good idea that I'm dreaming. I suggest doing the RC where you examine the world around and think, "Could I be dreaming?" Basically, you always do an RC do become lucid because you ask yourself that, by my reasoning.

By the way, it's purple on mine.

My tip is:
Increasing your awareness while awake by examining your enviroment carefully and enhancing all your five senses to max many times during the day. Soon you'll get this good habit of "living in the moment". You may check out the tutorial section on the topics that handles these questions.
Currently practicing WILD. I quote Kaniaz who said it best: "The point of WILD is to piss me off". Though, I have not given up, far from it.

It happened to me some times. I just new I m dreaming i didn't have to RC.
I think the trick is just experience. After many lucid it just happens.
I don't think there is a method for that, I wish I m wrong because I find it hard to RC all the time.

The one time I had my lucid dream, the first time I did a RC, it failed and said I was awake. I already knew I was dreaming so I pulled with more assurance thinking "there's no way I'm awake" and the reality check worked ^_^
I think I had been trying out awareness before the lucid dream occured, so I think that was a good factor.

the first time I seriously explored lucid dreaming (99-01) I really didnt use RCs as they might be normally defined.

When i got into bed I just kept repeating to myself "next time I see my hands I will be in a dream", then later on i'd be in the middle of a dream, end up glancing at my hands, and become lucid. I didnt even do this during the day, and I actually got a fairly decent beginners success rate from it, though I now use more "popular" methods.
