Do Your Family And Friends Know?

Does your family and friends know that you're a lucid dreamer? If yes, what do they think about it?

Only my family, never told my friends and I don't care really. They think nothing special, meaning they don't think I'm crazy. It might come up when we philosophyse (lol sp?) about the universe.

No, I get enough strange looks like that. My teacher knows, however, as well as my classmates, since reaching lucidity was my New Year's Resolution (we all had to set one). However I don't know if they count as friends. I'm thinking of telling my father when I go back to France, since he's interested in any spiritual development thingy... It's just wiser I wait till I'm better at it myself.

I've only told my friends and 2 of my brothers. I guess, telling my father wouldn't be that bad, but my mom would be a bit different. She cares a lot about sleep (and dreams aswell) and she would probably say that I interrupt my sleep, or she'd get very interested and join me

My family knows, and they all think it's stupid, and that theres no such thing as a dream that you can control. I never really cared to tell my friends though.

I told a few of my friends, and I think my mom knows but I can't remember if I told her. Only like one of my friends cared but she didn't get into it and start trying to LD.

I told two of my closest friends and now they are as obsessed with lucid dreaming as i am. My dad took a special interest but it disapeared quickly. my mom said it sounds iteresting but she thought it takes out the experience of dreaming because you know it is fake. My brother is interested as much as my friends but he has trouble becoming lucid.

Both my parents know. Mum is interested, dad is a little skeptical but believes me, yeah. A few of my friends know.

Friends don't much care, a few of them thought it was bizarre. My parents are cool with it. My dad actually wipes the floor with me as far as lucids go. Strange how the idea of LDs can be so offsetting to people, like it should be illegal or you have to be retarded to 'believe' in lucids FREEDOM OF THE MIND!

If it ever came up in a conversation anyway, i might sheepishly tell my friends, but right now only my mom and dad know. They are kind of freaked out by it, like there's something evil about it, but don't seem to mind too much...

I talked to my friend Josh about it the other day. Apparently, he's one of those people who've done it for years and not really known what it really was. And he says when he is lucid, he never really goes out of his way to control the dream... except for arming himself with a gun. Says he's "timid." Haven't really told anyone else, though I think my mom and possibly my best friend Slip would be very interested, and perhaps want to try it themselves.
