Are you asking if there is a specific type of music that is capeable of triggering LD's? That'd be great if there was. |

I have this question that's been nagging at me for a while. |

I don't know about ld's but it certainly effects my non lucids. One of my favorite dreams today was when I fell asleep listening to a radio movie[or whatever they are called]. Everything went black and white while the dreamed switched into the 1930's. |

I'm not sure if it has affected my ability to have LDs, but I listen to metal all day every day. In fact, many of my LDs are enhanced by music. Ever wonder what it is like to be "inside" a song? It's quite amazing. Your appreciation for the music is enhanced as well. Imagine listening to Burzum's "My Journey to the Stars" while doing just that; exploring the cosmos. |

Alright, thanks guys. I'm just like you Never, I listen to metal all day and every day. My parents are still wondering why I'm not tired of it, considering I always have music on. |

Hey, I'm new to the forums. I've been reading up on Lucid Dreams and I really want to have one. About the music thing. I share a room with my brother and last night we just put on static. Just plain old static on the radio with no background noise. Both my brother and I had the same results. We slept more sound, I woke up in the same position as when I fell asleep, and I remembered my dream for the first time in years. I think everyone should try this. |

Sweet. That's pretty cool. Thanks for posting and hey. |

speaking of sleeping with the television on, does anyone else find that they need to have some kind of device running in their room to get to sleep? When I moved into my new house a few years ago they moved the computer into my room and while during the day you did other activities you didn't notice it, at night the sound of the thing just idling would drive me up a wall. I originally tried out earplugs but over time they got messed up and for some reason I dislike having the sound of my pulse beating in my ears. I finally ended up leaving the fan on and that's how I get to sleep now. It's nice to have a breeze blowing over your face and a wind sound in your ears. I find that even now it's harder to fall asleep if I don't turn the fan on, it can be below freezing outside and I'll have the fan on full blast (I bundle up of course! |

Yeah I was wondering aswell if music had any effects on the way you dreamt and which ones....Once I fell a sleep with a song sang by a classmate all day long and eventually dreamt of him... |

If you like Death Metal like me, then you should listen to Necrophagist...technical death metal at its finest filled with so many neo-classical solos |

Ya, I've heard of them alot. But I love Nile's music. Also when I sit and 'absorb' the music, I love Glass Casket and Sworn enemy. |

I'm not sure if music affects your LUCID dreams, since you have control over things. You could probably make your own music begin playing in the dream, so I don't know. But if you're talking Hemi Sync, then Yes that helps. Hemi sync duplicates your natural sleeping brain waves, so it puts you to sleep fast and such. |

Yeh I was going to say that, or maybe you could get a favourite song or something but just the instrumental version, and put a recording over the top that say you are dreaming, you are aware that you are dreaming, etc. etc. Or just make up some of your own, very straight forward lyrics, about lucid dreaming and record it over the instrumental. If you play the song all day it should influence your dream, maybe even just have it playing while your asleep so you will actually feel as thought you are awake still. If you have been doing reality checks IRL you will do one and BAM! |

I LOVE Necrophagist!!!!!1111 Never tried to sleep to it though, I mostly use it to stay awake lol |
