      the past few nights I have had somewhat vivid dreams in where nothing seems out of the ordinary..and then outta nowhere i'll think about becoming lucid but somehow i start believing that its not possible and that im not actually dreaming..its really weird..and frusterating.

      Yep he's right. Do a reality check if you think there's any chance you might be in a dream. Do one if you think there isn't any chance you're in a dream. Do one if you're 100% sure you're not dreaming. DO ONE!!! It's a habit you have to get into if you want succeed with DILD and for some part MILD.
