Okay, for 3 nights now, I have tried going beyond my own abilities of LD control. Once try, it all crash, blows up, blanks out, caves in. I slide in and out and into another dream or actually, I just slide in and out and move over into the same dream but into a different fast forward scene. I call it slid-winding, it’s my own descriptive word for myself. It’s when I go in an out sleep then slid right back into the same dream with the same DC’s, but same dream. It’s like I forgot to TiVo the damn thing and it went on without me. So, now I am lucid, I want to do something big, like snowman building nothing to big, but I get my name in Orange. OOOOOH. Now how old am I. Anyhow, once I start my brain (without my permission I might add) starts remembering posts that I have read here. Especially the malfunctions that go on. Then all of the sudden I had one and that’s it, bye bye snowman.

Though I still have dream recall, and LDing, it is still only on my level. I want to achieve the levels I see here. I know its all about the control… at least I think… but I have been on the moon for so long, I never got a map to get there. I just found my way and never left.

I am used to doing something naturally, now shit just pops in without permission, its not fare. It is ruining everything. I need help. I need a map, I know it won’t be a quick fix, but someone please brake out some crayons, some scraps of paper draw me a few directions. I need to get this stuff out of my head now. Okay breathe…. breathe… I need calm down. I get so excited sometimes. How old am I again. I wonder sometimes. But here I can be whatever I want to be!

Yes, I have read Tutorial threads and thank you to the wizards who produced them.

Point: I came to this forum first because I needed to know that what I did was normal, and I wasn’t alone. I found two major facet, one that Lucid dreaming and control when possible by an individual isn’t normal, or if achieved isn’t on an every day or every other day basis, and second when it is achieved the intensity and diversity of the levels that are achieved here are amazing and brilliant. The potential for growth for me is literally out of this world.

Now, I am here to achieve the levels of control that I just mentioned above; like creating worlds, role-playing, transforming myself, anything, and everything else. I just wanna have fun, which I am by the way, just bigger, grander, well you get the pic.

Has anyone else had this problem? And if so what did they do to fix it.

Something very similar has happened to me before.
Try to steer away from threads that involve people's problems for a while. If that's mostly what you're reading, it's bound to have an effect on you unless you have a very firm grip on your own lucid abilities.

When you say a very firm grip on your own lucid abilities, I am not sure I know what you mean...but..I beleive I do. I mean mine are just on a different level. How do I explain, if I am having a Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome Nightmare, I am able to become lucid and I will gain total control over this dream. Not 100% percent of the time, but it’s a goal of mine. If it is a reoccurring dream, nightmare, I have triggers within, set around that will allow lucidity to wake myself up or take control depending upon the dream, if find that now, I just choose to remain lucid and if I want to push or shove in this or that direction I do if not I just hang around. This forum is so informative. I am finding out more everyday about my dreams. I thought one thing yesterday and now its not it’s something new today. I fell like a crazy person sometimes.

It’s hard when you are looking into a thread, it’s so interesting, and I want to see if I can help, or learn. However, if that is what may help I will try it. Thank you for your insight!

      Red face

I do think this forum has an effect on my dreams.

I'm not sure about control though. (although my main problem now is controlling my dreams)

Just last night I had a dream:

It seemed like a pool party and it ended with me saying good-bye to two guests, I hugged them and walked them out the door. Just then...
      -I woke up.

My alarm clock went off and it was time for school.

I think reading about Seeker saying good-bye to his DC's made (helped, encouraged, etc...) my subconscious do the same when my internal clock knew it was about time to wake up. My subconscious said good-bye just in time to wake up.

      I found this very interesting.
