I found out when I was in 2-3 grade that if I stare at something long enough I can make it seem to disappear from my sight. It seems my brain will just fill in everything behind it. It's easiest to do with lines on pavement but just about anything with a fairly even backround can be blurred out. I've never tried it while tired though. I don't see what your so worried about. Your hallucinations seem completely believable and not so out of the ordinary. You could probably do a lot more with it than you think, maybe even complete lucid dreams. Though I don't think you'd want to be sleeping too deeply on the train.
