Hi everyone!

I recently learnt about Lucid Dreaming, although I have been aware of the concept for many years. As a child (Currently I am 17) I experienced a lucid dream nearly every night. At about 12/13, I stopped having them, and figured that it must have been a childhood phase.

Reading descriptions on website forums such as these, I have learnt more and more about Lucid Dreams, how they come about etc, etc. Although I have yet to find any information on my query:

When in a dream, I was aware of myself being in the dream (obviously, a lucid dream), not only that but I was concious of my 'real' body sleeping in bed. If the dream became frightening (experiencing a nightmare) I had two 'methods' of exiting the dream:

1. Forcing myself in the dream state into sudden collision (such as jumping of a cliff, high area, etc.) which cause me to awake instantly.

2. Concentrating on my 'real' body in bed, and forcing a muscle to move, such as the move of a leg or arm. This also cause me to awake instantly. This method I found fascinating as a child, because it connected both my dream conciousness, and my real body.

Has anyone else experienced these instances? Sorry if i'm asking questions the are obvious/already ansewerd; im new to this forum, and the concept of Lucid Dreaming.
