Following on from my thread here: http://www.dreamviews.com/forum/inde...howtopic=40067
I was curious to find out whether there is a link between quality/frequency of LDs and whether the person sleeps lightly or heavily.
Light sleepers get woken up easily, but are closer to consciousness, meaning that they may get LDs more easily, but the length is brief.
Heavy sleepers are hard to wake up, as they are so deep into sleep, possibly meaning that their LDs are less frequent, but last longer and have a greater hold on the dreamer.
Should be interesting to see the outcome.

What about people that don't sleep very light nor heavy? I have the idea that I would fall into a "intermediate" class between these 2 extremes. Also, how do you define LONG and SHORT? If people have to guess if their LD's are long or short the outcome of this poll will not mean anything. Also you should, if possible, define what you feel is frequently and occasionally. Just a few thoughts on how to conduct such a poll a bit more seriously :).

I'm a typical Light sleeper but I have extended Lucid Dreams occassionaly. I can easily be awaken from the dream by the slightest sound but I've learned how to X out noise that's not all that important while I'm in the Lucid Dream. That in itself has taken years of practice.

Xetrov, I didn't want to include too many options in the poll. Maybe if the result is rather ambiguous I may do another poll.
By LONG, I mean a dream in which you have time to explore your environment thoroughly and complete a task you've always wanted to. SHORT constitutes a dream which you've maybe tried to complete a task, but have awoken prematurely.
Basically, the poll is split right down the middle, so FREQUENTLY allows daily, weekly, etc and OCCASIONALLY ranges from 2-4 weeks upwards.
