Hello all,
I'm new to this message board, though I've been trying (and failing) to have lucid dreams for years. After reading some of the other posts and seeing how many people have good, helpful advice to give, I’m hoping maybe someone might have some insight into a problem I'm having.
I've kept a dream journal, and done reality checks fairly consistently, and though I do occasionally have lucid dreams it seems no matter what technique I try, nothing I do affects when or how often I have them. The only pattern I have noticed in all my efforts is that if I have an extremely emotionally unsettled evening before I sleep, I have lucid dreams that night. It almost always happens this way, but getting myself upset before I sleep at night hardly seems like a good idea. I didn’t know if anyone had any insight as to why strong emotions would effect dreaming? Or how I might use this to bring about More Lucid dreams (without giving myself an ulcer in the process?)
