half-waking half-asleep dreams...

On a few occassions, and I mean usually once every year or less I'll be in the middle of a dream... (remember i've never had a lucid dream) then i'll gain consciousness in real life, but I'll still have the mentality that Im in the dream.. heres an example...

I 'woke up' behind this little book case in my room, because apparently I was dreaming that someone was trying to shoot me or something. Everytime I peaked around the book case I would look at the object (just something dark in the shadows that I thought was the dangerous person) and hide behind the book case. I was conscious in real life during this, then about a minute later I realized 'this is stupid, Im not really dreaming.'


I've also had a different dream similar to that, where my room ends up being some foreign building that has been closed up by nailing boards over the doors and covering the windows, and its going to be destroyed or something (this is a scary dream) and there is no way out of the room. I usually just end up sitting on my bed, looking for a way out... but then again I wake up (already being conscious) and realize that I am dreaming...

uh.. what exactly is this? :) hehe its kind of weird, and i end up looking stupid.. (also, they start out i guess with me sleep walking in my room, then I wake up during that)

I usually have such dreams after I press "snooze' on my alarm

Yep, this happens to me every other morning. When I'm half-awake but my dream continues. Happens occasionally at night too when I'm tired.

uh, i have half asleep/awake dreams when I go to college by bus/train... its weird because you get these 5 seccond dreams, which usually incorporate sounds and stuff from the bus... I wish I could ride in the bus for more then 15 mins sometimes just because I wanna sleep.

another really weird thing i've noticed... Its so much more satisfactory to sleep/so much easier to sleep when you look at the time and think shit i should actually be dressing right now or something in the morning... I've woken up a few hours before I had to wake up and had trouble trying to sleep waiting for the alarm to go off and when it dit it was like, WHAM sleepyness attack...

How true! It's so ironic that I can do WILD when It's time to get up...

yeah, i also have it when i'm near my busstop. I'm trying to go to sleep to get the funky dreams for 15 mins in the bus, doesnt work, but when i'm near my busstop I fade away... and have these 1 sec dreams. I snap out of it, but still I dreamt a scene, something that took more then the 1/2 secconds I was 'out'.
