Why would you have to open your eyes? Are you in darkness when you get this feeling? Are you actually IN the dream when you say this, or does this happen as your falling a sleep?

If you get this feeling while falling asleep, my advice would be to sit tight and wait for a scene to unfold before you. Try to imagine you're in a dark room, feeling your way for a doorknob. If you're dreaming, your mind will materialize a knob in your hand. Turn the knob and imagine it to be a huge door to wich you open it and then see light.

If it happens during a dream, then it's likely you're already seeing something and shouldn't feel the need to open your physical eyes because you'll already be seeing with your dream eyes.

I think Sloth made a topic about this - feeling like you're seeing the dream through closed eyes. He described seeing a dream on his eyelids, but the "real world" at the same time while he opened them!
Anyway... I can't think of a way to solve this, other than just not paying attention to it.
