Agree with above poster. Had the heart-beating thing too. It means you're not mentally calm. The things you possibly can experience with any variation of WILD and in LDs anyway can be very exciting. Don't get too hyped up about them or you'll not progress into the dream. |

people often experience a huge rise in their heartbeat right before they go into sleep paralysis, (usually when WILDing) I myself have never experienced this though |

.
I had the excact same probleme. After my first attempt to VILD, my heart started to beat extremely fast (probably due to a state my body has never felt - at least not when councious). |

Hi, welcome to the forum |

Recent Dream journal note : I was swallowed by some kind of sea-snake thing
I used to become scared when I started to WILD, and now that I know that feeling is a very good thing, I've conditioned myself to welcome it sooner. It is a very scary feeling though. |

I haven't had a pure LD yet, but I have had similar experienced with the milder forms of LD I've had. I just kept reassuring myself, over and over "I am safe" and relaxed into it. I know that sounds stupid and hokey, but it's what worked for me. Good luck! |
