      Is it considered Lucid...

Is it still considered Lucid Dreaming if you've woken up and fallen back asleep, but while you were still awake, you kinda told yourself you're lucid.

Ok, since I'm not gonna be technical here....well, live with it.

You know when you wake up in the morning, really early, and you're all like "Crap, I woke up, I'll never get back to sleep" but you fall asleep. Except that while you're asleep, you can still kinda hear what's going on around you and stuff.

Well, that happened, and I THINK I gained lucidity, but I'm not sure...

      Will someone please help?

      I'm not quite following here.

If you were asleep, in a dream, and you knew you were dreaming: then you were lucid.

If you were not in a dream but realized you were dreaming just after waking up/just before slipping back into a dream, then you were not lucid (unless this awareness carried over into the dream).

well he mentioned two possibilities, so you're not making anything any clearer.

      Sorry about that.

What I mean is that what he said made it clear to me. With both of the options.

      Sorry for the confusion!

Well, I'm glad it's clear for you because it sure isn't for us.
