Well I came to these boards a few months ago with a lot of interest in dreaming and lucidity. After not having much success, I sort of gave up. But today while I was taking a nap, I had the craziest experience. I dont know if it was coincidence because my friends and I talked about lucidity and dreaming last night, or if it was that I was just very tired and out of it from the week.

Anyways, I decided to write down my dream in a journal (I had previously attempted to keep a dream journal but never really did, I think I will now). Here is the exact entry:

4/6/06

Wow, where do I even Start? I went to sleep around 2:00, and woke up at 2:30 briefly to talk to mom, who called. I was so tired (and I still am), that I went back to sleep. After Aa while, I woke up, but I felt a little weird. I felt like I was still able to fall right back asleep. So I decided to open my eyes a little, and off in the distance through the window I saw a zeppelin, exactly like the one in 3d Mark 06 [a video game graphical program]. I actually thought that for a second, and I think I vaguely acknowledged, hey I am dreaming, I should go back to sleep! I closed my eyes and almost immediately felt my body just spin and gain the feeling of weight and it was a very strange feeling.

I acknowledged that I was close to lucidity so I tried hard to fall back asleep. I started to try to control my thinking and turn it into controllable dreams. I started feeling my body move that way even more. From there I can't remember much until the end. I think I started thinking of girls laughing all around me, like I just heard the noises. [I remember trying to MAKE this happen]. I felt like I somehow had control, and I still felt my body there in a really weird way. Then I think I started dreaming a bit more. I can't remember much of what happened until it all jumbles up to a new idea.

I had posted some sort of story, I think explaining that I was dreaming lucidly, on something like the Oblivion forums [a video game forum]. Mrs. Moore [My high school english teacher] was reading the post to our class, like I wasnt there, and correctling all sorts of stuff about it. Meanwhile, my mind was roaming the Oblivion landscape. Our class was laughing at how much I had done wrong (like writing style wise) in the post, but in a friendly way. All of this was very cloudy and unorganized, only putting it on paper helped me make a little sense out of it. My main excitement was my entire realization of lucidity, as well as my hallucination (?) of the zeppelin (because I remember OPENING my eyes). The feeling of my body turning like that I have felt before a little when attempting a WILD. I hope a I can do it again.

Ah, I'm excited. It was a really interesting experience.
