IMPOSSIBLE
Grr...I've been getting vivid dreams every night, and of course i keep a DJ, but the problem is when I wake up in the morning, I know that half the stuff that happened in the dream is BEYONE ABSURD, but when i'm in the dream, I NEVER seem to realize it...I perform RCs every day and concentrate on LD, so I hoped that this habbit would carry over into my dreams and I would suddenly become aware of the fact that i'm dreaming, but it's weird because for some reason it never ever happens. BTW...the thing that keeps happening is the dream where your teeth fell out...it happened to me last night and it was really really awkward going around trying to not open your mouth....weird.

yeah...this is what most people experience--lucid dreaming takes a lot of practice, patience and dedication. don't give up

You really have to practice at it. It took me a few months to get halfway decent dream recall, and it'll be worth it. Plus, don't make your RC's a habit, or else they don't do you any good. Try and figure out where you are and how you got there. You actually have to think when you're doing this type of RC, so give that a try.

That's what is most challenging about LDing. It takes a lot of practice and patience, as mongreloctopus said. You'll get the hang of it sooner or later.

Hi kenny,
You say there are many absurd things that happen in your dream - is there anything that keeps happening alot? Like the teeth falling out thing?
You're already off to a great start and have one of the key ingredients to cooking up an LD -- your RECALL! Now it's time to try to identify something that happens a lot in your dreams. Something that keeps showing up or happening.
Once you find this dreamsign, you will have to train your mind (while awake) that the appearance of this sign GUARANTEES that you're in a dream. Even if it's something that you could see in waking life. For instance, let's just say that it's a red tree you were dreaming at that moment.
