I'm interested in learning more about meditation... I view my self as a begginer and always will as I think that is the key to get better in whatever you do in life. Having a bigginers mind and a hunger to learn.

This is a copy of a text I wrote in this thread: http://www.dreamviews.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=28473

I meditate with everything I do in my daily life. It's all about keeping focus on the now. People doing the lucid living, going around pretending they are dreaming are focusing on the now.

There are endles techniques and you can combine techniques. Sticking to just one form of meditation will not get you very far in exploring your self and maturing your mind. It is very individual and depending on where you are in your life what will work for you. a technique that maby did not give you anything a year ago might give you a experiance and realisation that will blow you away after playing around with some other techniques.

Combining physical meditation, like martial arts, dansing, going to the gym or what ever you prefere. With inner exploration meditation is just amazing.

When you walk, when you eat, when you brush your teeth. Where is your conscious? In the past? in the future? or in the now?

The past and future dose not exist. Our minds create that. There is only now. So live and enjoy now.

After a while you learn to turn your thoughts on or off like a radio.

Do not push away your thoughts. acknowledge them when they acure and just let them slip away in to nothingnes where they came from.

There is no wrong way to meditate. Try difrent ways and choose what feels natrual.

Never have expectasions when you meditate. This is very important or you will just end up frustrated. Just take things as they come.

You have been practesing your mind your entier life. With everything you do that requiers focus of the mind.

And remember.... What every you experiance when you meditate: NO FEAR.

You can find endles techniques if you do a search on the web. Some state things like: it should be quiet or never dark or whatever. That might be corect for the author but is it for you? Play around with it... and most importand: Enjoy it =)

Hope this is of some help....
