Thread: Is This Lucid?? Help With Techniques Also, Please.

Is This Lucid?--

For as long as I can remember, I've been able to wake up anytime I'd like during a dream. It wouldn't always work, but whenever I was younger, and having a nightmare, I could just wake myself up. Is this lucid?


Techniques and Such--

Ever since I was young, I could recognize that I was dreaming sometimes. I just never knew that was anything special. Only problem was that I couldn't really control my dream. I just knew I was dreaming.

So, my question is. Techniques like HILD, WILD, MILD, WBTB, etc. They're just for reaching the lucid point, the Hey, I'm dreaming! point. Right? So I would not neet to use those if I can already recongnize I'm dreaming. Correct?

If so, then how would I control different aspects of my dream?

can you realize you are dreaming any night you wish? if not, those various techniques are useful in allowing you to control the frequency of your lucids. (unless you would rather just let them happen when they will..)

as far as control goes, i'm working on this presently as well. i've found the most important aspect is continually real-izing "my mind is creating ALL of this right now...there are no limitations but those i accept..."

after really absorbing the fact that dreams are 100% created by one's mind, i have been able to levitate/fly with reasonable success, and conjure a couple objects.

practice and the belief you can are the two most important paths to dream control IMO.
