      Woke up from dream choking

I woke up from my dream choking.
It took me a few minutes to stop gasping and get my breath back.
I don't remember the dream but I do remember it felt disturbing.

      Any explanation for this?

hmm not sure, but I think Ive done that before when I was ill, worst feeling ever oxygen wasnt getting down my throat quick enough. Also when waking up before I would suddenly sit up and take a deep breath as if I had just come up for air from underwater
I can't say I really know anything about what you're talkinga bout , but I said plausible because of that incredibly cool blind spot trick .
