Does food usually taste horrible in dreams? The first bite tastes good but then I get a horrible after taste.
I ate food in dreams before without having it taste bad. Just sucks when im lucid and I go to summon root beer (happyhunter tradition)

it probably comes down to expectations. The fear of it tasting bad, emotions, or a mix of bad memories of something that tastes bad in your waking life. Who knows? Even in a lucid dream is still a mystery.
For me sometimes.
Not here. I've had food taste like nothing at all.
i agree that its likely up to expectation. all the food ive ever had in dreams is the most Incredible stuff ive ever tasted, personally
Hmm, the only bad eating experience I remember was trying to eat snow and the texture turned into like taffy. But in one of my first lucid dreams I ate a delicious bun that I made into a recipe IWL and my whole family loves them, lol. I agree it's probably expectations.
I do sometimes have trouble with drinking, like if I feel I'm really thirsty than nothing I can drink in the dream can satisfy me, it's like I NEED to wake up and get some real water!
