Dry Spells Can't Get Lucid Anymore

Hi everyone. I used to become lucid very often when I was young even without any special technic. I learned a few methods from here and it helped in the beginning. Now I feel that aging is a lucid dream enemy at least for me. Has this happen to anyone here ? Any advice ? Thank you

People say creativity dies down a bit after 30 or so. Maybe you could try doing creative things to help inspire you and your dreams? Get a good immersive video game going if you have the time to spare for it

In my case, it seems to have more to do with wake world responsibility than age. It's always a challenge to get lucid while employed. Or when I'm in a relationship. Or during times of heavy community involvement. Dreaming and lucid dreaming are like a hobby or personal interest. One of my interests is writing. I wrote a lot when younger. Had the time and space to enjoy it. But as responsibilities piled on I lost touch with it. Now writing is not so easy or even enjoyable as it used to be but I still like it. I schedule time every day to simply write. Just the same with dreaming. Schedule time every day to engage in dreaming in any capacity. It will come back. I quickly amped up my recall and started lucid dreaming again after joining this site. It was part of my 'engage in dreams daily' goal for myself.

I don't know how much experience you have with LD'ing, but I have taken a more casual approach while still experiencing many lucid dreams weekly. I get zero DILDs, only success with WBTB and SSILD. I sleep normally 90% of the night, doing maybe 3 RCs daily. If I wake up 2-2.5 hr in the early morning (7:30pm) I will do an induction (wbtb, ssild) for 20 min) and get pretty good results. Takes a little bit of effort to fall back to sleep, but when I let go, I can drift into a lucid dream consistently
