New Year's Dream - Hatsuyume, a Japanese Tradition.

Hi Everyone, I thought you may appreciate a little info on some Japanese dream mythology. Hatsuyume is the Japanese tradition/superstition of using the first dream of the year as an auspicious omen. Of course, there's no science behind this (it's mythology after all), but it's always good to know a little about the dream traditions of the world. Stories and myths are sometimes a great way to get people interested in dreams and from there on, lucid dreaming As much as I love science, I'm also a big fan of mythology, and this is a fun one. It's definitely inspired me to make sure that tonight's lucid dream is particularly interesting. I love to hear what your first dreams of the year are!? Oh and of course, HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Great Video, I guess it would be alot of thinking and planning for the new year, would help incubate a general idea of how your idea would turn out. Didn't get alot of sleep last night, but did have a short dream, i was pregnant went to the hospital ready to deliver, waiting for the midwife, alot of my friends were also there pregnant, the girl across from me in the room had lots of Danish guys with her and a bright yellow (like the sun) curtain to close of the room . The midwife had alot to do and she said she had a pain in her back, so i was examining her back, and never got a chance to deliver baby. :-) so is that good luck? at least the pregnancy points to new beginnings right, maybe not really ready for a new idea yet. HAPPY NEW YEAR !

Great video! I had a lucid last night, where I saw beautiful copper beech and asked a pencil to draw something. Spoiler for the dream: I become lucid. I remember the advanced totm- ask a pencil to draw something. I find a pencil and beg it to draw something. I close my eyes to concentrate. Instead of black, the background is white, and the pencil starts drawing. It draws a sketch of a room. Happily, I decide to teleport to a random location, and I am in a garden with a beautiful copper beech. I decide to do the addictive activity of flying.
