Hello! |

i know what you mean. in german the direct translation sounds shitty too. therefore i started to use the english word. |

Yeah, I was kind of thinking that way |

To make things more complicated people have different understandings of the term dream guide too. Some think of it as a more spiritual thing like a spirit guide that appears in dreams. Some thing of it as anything that helps ypu in a dream, even n inanimate object such as a book and don't necessarily have any spiritual signifcance. On DV we call on-topic moderators dream guides sch as our new DGs Fogelbise and Saizaphod! I think of it as a dream character who stands out as smarter than the average DC and can become your mentor to teach you dream control and help you on your adventures. |

I think the main way dream guide is used (in the context of lucid dreaming) is a dream character who helps or aids you in particular ways. In general, this "dream guide" is capable of teaching you things you didn't know before, showing you new places, or helping you learn about yourself. The word "guide" in English implies someone who can show the way and be of assistance, but is not in an authoritarian position (so a dream guide will probably not try to force you to engage in the environment in any way). |
