Meant to be read as a lecture.
It is not uncommon for you to awaken to find yourself lying on soft green grass spanning as far as the eye can see. Off to the left you are able to see the grass flowing leisurely over the hills, flowing gently with the cool, quiet breeze that blows through it. Feeling the breeze passing by, you feel content with the fact that you are in a dream. Are you dreaming? It is common for places to change and you will then be in a forest of tall green trees. When you look up you can see a few scattered rays of sunlight filtering through the branches. You look at the ground and see the shadows spell out, “Are you dreaming?” You look away and when you look back all you see are normal shadows. Seeing that things have you changed you perform a reality check to discover that you are dreaming. You feel the coolness of the shade and the soft light that is pleasing to the eye. It feels great to be lucid.[/b]

“What is your name?”
“My name is (insert your name).”
“I am pleased to meet you.”
“Where are you from?”
“I am from a dream not too far from here. I was just in the neighborhood and decided to stop by.”
“What have you been doing lately?”
“Oh, not much. I’ve been doing reality checks to see if I am dreaming. Are you dreaming?”
“I’m not sure, let me find out.” (Give time for reality check) “I am dreaming! Thanks for reminding me.”
“Not a problem. It was nice to meet you.”
“It was nice to meet you, too. When will you be back?”
“I’m not sure. I’ve got places to go and people to see, but I’ll check in to see if you are doing reality checks. Are you still dreaming?”
“Let me find out.” (Give time for reality check) “I am dreaming! Thanks for reminding me.”
“Not a problem. I’ll talk to you later.”
“Sweet lucid dreams.”

The light switch wouldn’t work as s/he stood by the doorway. The light stayed on no matter what. Finally she did a reality check to see if she was dreaming and found out that she was.
“This is odd.”
“Yes, it’s weird.”
“Who are you?”
“A dream guide. If you’re not awake you should look around to see if you are dreaming.” Leave time for observation. “Do you notice anything weird?”
“Yes.”
“What?”
“This doesn’t belong here. And I’m in my bed sleeping so I can’t be here.”
“You must be dreaming.”
“Thanks for telling me.”
“It’s nothing. Just look around more often. You’ll be surprised at what you see.
ry turning that lightswitch.”
